CIAMI brings together faculties from Mohawk College and McMaster University to harness research potential never before seen in our community. The Centre establishes a multidisciplinary hub for faculty pursuing innovative ways to transform medical imaging through advanced clinical and translational research.
CIAMI is proud to be the home of a new SIGNA™ Premier 3.0T MRI from GE Healthcare which is the second unit of this kind installed in the country, providing researchers with access to state-of-the-art technologies to enable cutting-edge discoveries.

All scans will be assisted by a CMRTO certified MRI Technologist hired by Mohawk College.
Additional fees may apply depending on project requirements.

Staff Support
Our team is dedicated to supporting your project needs. Our CMRTO Certified technologist and administrative staff will support your project from intake all the way through to completion, ensuring seamless execution and expert guidance at every stage.
Our Facility
Our facility features a welcoming reception area, comfortable changerooms, a private interview room, multiple bays, and a state-of-the-art 3T Signa Premier MRI. For a closer look at our space, we invite you to visit our facility page.
These resources are complimentary as part of the booking fee.
When cancelling a booked MRI, a minimum of 48 hours is required in order to avoid charges. If the MRI booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the scan time, but with at least 12 hours’ notice, a charge of $50.00 per hour will apply to the original booking.
If the MRI booking is cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice of the scan time, the original scan time will be billed in full.
